Time to launch tablet edition of all its magazines

US magazine publisher Time Inc. is to launch tablet edition for all 21 of its magazines before the end of 2011.

With this advance move Time will become the first major publisher to provide all its editions across all mediums.

Time is already offering tablet editions for four of its titles --Sports Illustrated, Time, Fortune and People. And now the remaining 17, including InStyle and Entertainment Weekly, will be made available.

Time Inc executive Maurice Edelson said that, the time has come for them to make that bold commitment. In the coming year, there would clearly be many more consumers using tablets, accelerating demand for content and driving advertiser interest.
